Springfield township Parks and Recreation Delaware County PA
Springfield Township Parks and Recreation in Delaware County, Pennsylvania invested in the expansion of its athletic amenities with the full construction of two new pickleball courts, responding to the rapid growth and popularity of the sport within the community. The project encompassed a complete, start-to-finish scope of work, beginning with detailed site evaluation, excavation, and earthwork to establish proper elevations, drainage, and a stable sub-base. These early phases were critical to ensuring the long-term integrity and playability of the courts.
Following excavation, the project progressed to precision paving, creating a smooth, consistent asphalt surface engineered to withstand seasonal temperature changes and heavy use. Once paving was complete, the courts were professionally surfaced to deliver optimal traction, ball response, and player comfort, resulting in a high-performance playing environment suitable for both recreational and competitive play. New perimeter fencing was installed to define the court area, enhance safety, and improve overall site functionality, while maintaining a clean and visually appealing layout within the park setting.
All phases of construction were completed by Deluxe Surfacing, an ATC company, leveraging their extensive experience in sports surface construction and municipal projects. The finished pickleball courts provide Springfield Township with a durable, low-maintenance facility that enhances community recreation, encourages active lifestyles, and reflects a commitment to quality public infrastructure.
